MoU to allow nine African countries to drive forward radio astronomy projects

The recent meeting of the African partner countries in the international Square Kilometre Array (SKA) radio telescope programme in Pretoria was a success, South African Science and Technology Minister Naledi Pandor has told Engineering News. “It went very well,” she said. “I think the strategy we have adopted, the MoU [memorandum of understanding], is a significant step forward in consolidating the partnership and advancing the work we need to do.”
