  • When Dairy is ‘Woman’s Work,’ But a Man’s Market: Improving Livelihoods, Female Empowerment in Tanzania

    In the winter of 2012, I joined TechnoServe directly from a management consulting position in San Francisco. Gung ho about living in Africa, I was excited to use my skillset and create a value chain analysis of the dairy market in Tanzania. At the same time, I needed to better understand the development landscape, in order to identify pockets where TechnoServe could play a role.
